Sarah Acker's proposal "The Use of Resazurin to Assess Microbial Metabolism and Aerobic Respiration” was selected for funding through the Undergraduate Research, Innovation, Scholarship and Creativity (URISC) 2010-11 Summer solicitation program at Oregon State University. Sarah's advisor, Roy Haggerty had this to say: "Sarah will compare measurements made in pure microbial cultures with Raz to measurements made with conventional techniques. This will improve our confidence in the method for use in streams. Thanks to PhD student Ricardo González-Pinzón, Dave Myrold, Alba Argerich and others for their help with this." Congratulations to Sarah on her achievement!
