2012 Workshop and Field Trip Pictures

In June, 2012 the IDES student cohort participated in the 2-week Earth Science and Geospatial workshop that was based in Corvallis and included visits to the Oregon Coast and the central Oregon volcanic fields, as well as an intensive hands-on GIS workshop in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences.

The cohort spent a day exploring the volcanic fields of Central Oregon and learning about the human and natural history of the area at the High Desert Museum.

The cohort spent afternoons during the geospatial workshop completing the OSU challenge course.  This part of the Challenge Course is 'challenge by choice', which means that everyone participates to the extent that they are comfortable and able.
